The Colorado Society of Medical Assistants (CSMA) proudly supports the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) as the professional organization for medical assistants. Members include medical assistants, insurance coders, medical transciptionists, medical receptionists, educators and others who work under the direction of a physician. Founded in 1956, AAMA is the only
medical assistant’s organization to receive official commendation by the American Medical Association. CSMA was awarded a State Charter in 1957.
